GPS trackers for your club's training sessions and competitions

Do you want to improve your club’s orienteering training at a technical level? With our 4G GPS trackers, you can significantly enhance the quality of your orienteering sessions, provide advanced learning opportunities, and improve overall runner safety.

We offer a fully functional solution based on the Teltonika ATC700 GPS tracker model, manufactured in the EU. This 4G device is compact, weighing only 70 grams (62 × 54 × 20 mm). Its rechargeable battery lasts up to 9 hours. It can be easily carried by athletes, for example in a pocket or armband.

Once switched on, the tracker continuously transmits the athlete’s live position to Livelox. Coaches and spectators can follow athletes in real time during the event, and all data can be replayed afterward for detailed analysis. This makes the device a valuable tool for both educational and safety purposes.

After evaluating more than 20 tracker models worldwide, we selected this specific model due to its durability and high GPS accuracy. We have worked in close cooperation with the manufacturer on development and field testing to provide a high-quality successor to our previous 2G model.

Advantages of using Livelox GPS trackers

  • Coaches, parents, and spectators can easily follow any orienteering event
  • Coaches can give immediate feedback on the technical execution of exercises
  • Control collection after the event can be made more efficient
  • Coaches can more precisely estimate when all athletes will return from the course
  • Lost athletes can be located and rescued
  • Athletes can ask for assistance by activating the alarm button when lost or injured
  • The trackers can be used for both training sessions and competitions

Mobile network

The GPS trackers use the 4G mobile network to send positions to Livelox. The accompanying data subscriptions are not operator-bound, which means that signals are sent via whichever operator currently offers the best coverage. The subscription works in 135 countries worldwide.

How the GPS trackers work

On the page Live tracking with Livelox GPS trackers, you'll find all the information about how the trackers work. There you can also learn how to connect trackers to events and participants in Livelox.

Questions and answers

What happens if the tracker stops working?
Our GPS trackers come with a manufacturer warranty that covers manufacturing defects only: a 24-month Teltonika warranty and a 6-month battery warranty. Should a tracker stop working, please contact us. During our extensive testing of this tracker model, we found the units to be highly shock- and moisture-resistant, with battery life remaining stable over time.

How do I charge the battery?
The GPS trackers have a 1000 mAh rechargeable Li-Po battery and come with a USB-C cable. When charging many trackers simultaneously, a USB-C charger with multiple ports is recommended.

Do I need to buy SIM cards or data subscriptions?
No. SIM cards and pre-paid data subscriptions are included.

Does the tracker come with a vest or belt to carry the device?
No. The tracker is very small and can be easily carried in a pocket. Just make sure the pocket has a zipper. Alternatively, we recommend using a simple sports belt or bracelet.

Do I need to upload a map and a course in advance?
To provide live tracking, the map and courses must be uploaded to Livelox before the event. However, if you're only interested in post-race analysis, it is fine to upload the event information afterward.

How and when are GPS trackers connected to participants?
If a GPS tracker is always used by the same person, that connection can be set up in Livelox. Then, routes recorded with that tracker will always be automatically linked to that person. If GPS trackers are shared among different users, the pairing of devices with participants must be done for each event. This can be done before, during, or after the event. Each GPS tracker has a unique four- or five-character code, which is paired with a participant in a class on the event’s administration pages in Livelox.

Can I link a GPS tracker to an event organized by another club?
Yes, you can connect the GPS tracker to any open event in Livelox, regardless of the organizer.

Can a Livelox event contain routes recorded using both GPS trackers and other GPS devices?
Yes, this is possible. Routes can be recorded in several ways in Livelox: using GPS watches, the Livelox Recorder mobile app, or GPS trackers.

Do the tracking devices work abroad?
Yes, they work in all countries with 4G network coverage. The SIM card is not bound to a single operator, and there are no extra charges for use abroad. Currently, global coverage includes more than 135 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Oceania, ensuring reliable communication.

What happens if mobile network coverage is poor?
The tracker automatically selects the operator offering the best available connection. If it enters an area with poor coverage, recorded positions are buffered in the tracker’s memory and transmitted as soon as a mobile network connection is re-established.
