These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Livelox website, mobile applications, and any related services provided by Livelox AS ("Livelox," "we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
Livelox provides location-based visualization services, such as visualizing outdoor activities by utilizing the geographical position of a user’s sports watch or mobile device.
You may use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use our services:
To access some of our services, you may be required to create an account with us. Your user profile for Livelox may also be acquired from external entry or event registration systems such as Eventor, Swedish Orienteering Federation’s central IT services. if you choose to do so. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password.
Our services and their entire contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) are owned by Livelox, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws. All rights to maps and courses uploaded to Livelox are reserved by the event organizers. However, Livelox and its affiliated partners reserve the right to use them within their services and for marketing purposes once the events are publicly visible.
You must mention Livelox as a source for materials shared for non-commercial uses on social media, web sites and applications. For other uses you shall contact us before publishing or sharing.
Livelox provides our services on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of our services or the information, content, materials, or products included on our services. You expressly agree that your use of our services is at your sole risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Livelox shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to the use of the services. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Livelox, its affiliates, licensors, and service providers, and its and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses.
Some features in Livelox are chargeable and are only available after purchasing a subscription. All prices are inclusive of VAT and other charges.
To pay a subscription fee, you must designate and provide information about your preferred payment method. If you provide your payment information, you authorize us and certain third party service providers, payment card networks and payment processors to receive, store and encrypt your payment information. You may update your information on your Livelox user account page. No refunds or credits will be provided by Livelox, other than as set forth in these Terms. Livelox reserves the right to change subscription fees, any associated taxes, or to institute new fees.
Livelox reserves the right at any time to modify or discontinue temporarily the Services or any part of the Services with or without notice. You agree that Livelox will not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Services.
Subscription fees will be billed automatically at the start of the annual period, as applicable. These fees will auto-renew until your subscription is terminated. You may cancel your subscription at any time, as described below.
Your subscription may start with a free trial. The free trial period for any subscription will last for the period of time specified when you signed up. Free trials may not be combined with certain other offers, as specified. If you begin your subscription with a free trial, we will begin billing your Payment Method for subscription fees at the end of the free trial period of your subscription unless you cancel your subscription prior to the end of the free trial period. You may cancel your subscription at any time, as described below.
A discount code can be used only once per user profile. The discount cannot be applied to existing subscriptions or be combined with other offers or promotions. Livelox reserves the right to modify or terminate the discount code scheme at any time without prior notice. Discounts are only deducted at the first annual subscription payment. Subsequent annual renewals will be charged with the full price. By using a discount code, you agree to these terms.
You may cancel the automatic renewal of your subscription at any time through your account settings. The cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period, and no further subscription fees will be charged. Cancellation does not delete your account or its associated data. After your subscription ends, you may reactivate or purchase a new subscription at any time, subject to the pricing and terms then in effect. You may also delete your account and request deletion of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions are provided for the use of the subscriber only. Personal subscriptions may be used solely by the individual subscriber. Club subscriptions may be used only in connection with events organized by the subscribing club. Login credentials must be kept confidential and must not be shared with any other person. We may suspend or terminate a subscription if we reasonably believe it is being used in violation of these Terms. Please contact us if you have questions about permitted subscription use.
We may suspend or terminate a user account, subscription, activity, or event if we reasonably believe that the user has violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or unlawful activity, abused a subscription, infringed the rights of others, or otherwise threatened the security, integrity, or proper operation of the services. Where appropriate, we may provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the violation before taking action.

We may collect personal information about you when you use our services, such as your name, email address, and payment information. We may also collect information about your device, such as its IP address, browser type, and operating system. They allow us to remember your preferences and to personalize your experience on our services. You may opt out of the usage of non-necessary cookies. We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. No personal or private data is collected, stored, or analyzed through Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising services. We use your personal information to provide and improve our services. We may also use your information to communicate with you about our services and to provide you with marketing materials. We may share your information with third-party service providers who help us operate our services, such as payment processors and hosting providers. We may also share your information with law enforcement agencies, courts, or other government entities if required by law or if we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the rights of others.
Your user profile for Livelox may be acquired from Eventor, Swedish Orienteering Federation’s central IT services. Only the personal information required for the services Livelox provides is stored, such as name, club membership, event entries and results. Our management and storage of personal information is according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Personal information will not be sold to third parties.
We take appropriate measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
Maps and courses uploaded to Livelox can be accessed by third parties after the publication time, if not explicitly set to be password-protected. Livelox is not responsible for checking the ownership and use of uploaded maps. Any responsibility connected to the use of maps is to be appointed to the map owner or the person uploading the map to Livelox. The person or organization uploading a map to Livelox must have the legal right to publish it. Uploading copyrighted, third‑party, or otherwise unauthorized map data is not permitted unless explicit permission has been granted.
We offer live positioning services that allow users to track their location in real-time while participating in outdoor activities. Livelox records and publicly displays precise location data of the user, unless the recordings are explicitly marked as private and are not connected to a Livelox event. Additionally, when using the Livelox Recorder mobile app, the real-time location data from the mobile device is available unless marked as private and not connected to a Livelox event. Handling location data is the core feature of the Livelox Recorder app, and cannot be opted out of. By using Livelox services, including our live positioning services, you agree to this policy.
By utilizing the Livelox services, you grant permission for other users to follow and track all your public activities associated with an event. By default, your privacy settings permit other users to follow you. To adjust these settings and withdraw the option for others to follow your profile, you can modify in the privacy setup within your user account tab, specifically in the privacy section.
Your overall yearly statistics related to Livelox events will be showcased and made visible to other Livelox users.
If a minor, under 18 years of age, uses Livelox, we assume that it is with the consent of a legal guardian.
You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information. You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain types of processing of your information. To exercise these rights, please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Accordingly, we reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice. Please review this policy periodically, and especially before you provide any personal data. This Privacy Policy was last updated on the date indicated above. Your continued use of the services after any changes or revisions to this Privacy Policy shall indicate your agreement with the terms of such revised Privacy Policy.
